Fall 2022 -

We hosted our first ever fundraiser dinner this past September. It was an amazing success raising over $10,000! I remember walking around, greeting guest, and realizing that I did not know a lot of the people in attendance. One of my goals with this fundraiser was to expand our donor base, and make more people aware that we exist, and the work that we are doing. That goal was accomplished as I heard from one couple that they immediately took our booklet over to their daughter who lives in Grandville and shared all that is offered, so she could take part, and pass the word on to her circle of influence. There are many days when I think that we are not doing much, and that there is so much more we could offer, but this fundraiser reminded me of all the work we actually do, and that there are not many places offering the services we do. It was a fantastic night and I just want to thank everyone for making the evening possible.

A few other highlights from this fall was our annual 'Trunk or Treat' that is a fun-filled event that brings the community together, and our first ever 'Kitchen Time Thanksgiving' that was a last minute idea that I hope becomes a tradition here. It was a beautiful time cooking and eating together and celebrating all we are to be thankful for.

There is a lot of work ahead of us, as we work on opening up a hygiene pantry to serve the City of Wyoming, and start to pilot our Haven Drop-In Teen Center. I could never do any of this alone, and I truly appreciate the support we receive from so many people. It bring me joy and encouragement every single day.

With Gratitude
